FACADES are available in custom sizes using either our stock photographs and artwork or your personal photographs, graphics and artwork. If you are planning on using your own imagery to print on either fabric, wallpaper, or window cling, please consider the following:

Image Formats:

We can print your personal images from the following formats:

• Reflective color and reflective black and white prints - up to 12" x 18"
• Transparencies - minimum 2 1/4" x 2 1/4", max 8" x 10". We can use 35mm transparencies in small sections of a mural, but there are limitations on how large these images can be reproduced.
• 35mm film or a digital file - since these formats have limitations in terms of how large they can be blown up without distorting the image, we have designed Personal FACADE Templates on which you can place multiple smaller images. If you would like to use personal images from these formats, please contact us first so that we can determine the suitability and or size limitations.
  

If you want to send us files from your digital camera, we recommend that you shoot in an uncompressed tiff format. If your camera does not support the uncompressed tiff format, please use the highest quality jpg setting that is available on your camera. Most digital photos that are shot on a tripod or in a very still position, have the highest probability of yielding a usable picture that can be enlarged. If a tripod is not readily available, lean against a wall, or a sturdy surface before taking the picture. The slightest bit of movement in the camera will cause blurring when the image is blown up to large sizes. We require a resolution of 75 dpi at the final print size.

Reproduction Suitability:

Not all images are appropriate for large format digital printing. Please consider the following when choosing photographs:

• Photographs should be sized proportionately to the finished dimensions of the FACADE.
• If your dimensions are wider than they are tall, then your photograph should have the same proportions.
• Images can be cropped to match the correct proportions.
• Photographs should be in focus.
• Our art department will review all artwork submitted for reproduction to determine if it is appropriate in quality, clarity and size for the project. There is no charge for this service.

Packing and Shipping:

• Photographs should be packed in cardboard that will protect the entire image from folding and mutilation.
• Photos and artwork submitted for reproduction must be clearly marked with customer name, address and phone number (do not write on the back of your artwork or photo, as it will show thru on the scan).
• We will return all personal property submitted for reproduction. We cannot be held responsible for items lost in shipping. It is suggested that if the artwork is deemed by you as valuable, irreplaceable or sentimental, that you have a copy made and send the copy for use in the product.
• Digital files can be sent to artwork@facades.us. Be sure to include your contact information with the files.

Photo Editing and Retouching:

• Photo retouching is available upon request (i.e. removing an artifact, adding an item or image into a photo, changing color, repair, merging or compositing photos).
• We will quote a retouch fee after we have reviewed the photograph or transparency.

Proofing:

FACADES produced from customer supplied imagery include one proof. That proof will be in a miniature size reproduced on the actual material. Any customer requested modifications will be made to the artwork. Additional proofs will be supplied at a cost of $100 each.

Legal:

• You must have legal rights for use on any images submitted for reproduction.
